What do you want for the Skatepark in the King George V Park, Wivenhoe?
Wivenhoe Town Council is committed to replacing the Skatepark in the King George V Park in Wivenhoe.
The project will see the removal of the existing ramps and creation of a new facility catering for a range of wheeled action sports, based on the design ideas and feedback from local residents and riders. Lighting and CCTV will also be upgraded. As part of this the Council will also be looking at the possibility of improving the basketball facilities on offer.
Our aim is to create a new facility that will not only respond to the needs of existing riders but also engage a wider section of the local community. We are therefore keen to obtain feedback from a diverse range of local residents and park users on what features they would like to see included.
This initial consultation will ask for ideas from all the community to see what is wanted at the new facility. Possibilities could include wooden surfaced ramps, a pump track or a concrete park.
Ideas and feedback would be used to support the design process in selecting suitable companies to design and build the new facility.
